Amina Gilbert (she/they) is a lighting designer and technician based in Chicago and local to Colorado.

She is the Lead Technician at The Neo-Futurists.

Amina guids her work with joyful freedom, queer love, great risk, and an almost religious commitment to spontaneity. She is obsessed with a challange. She finds inspiration in the ocean, the woods, 2010s internet culture, and her gorgeous friends.

She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Honors program at Columbia College Chicago in 2023 with a BA in Theatre Arts with concentrations in lighting design and directing.
