Amina Gilbert is a lighting designer, director, and performer based in Chicago. She is inspired to reach into the depths of the human experience by guiding her work with radical freedom, explosive expression, and queer joy.

She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Honors program at Columbia College Chicago in 2023 with a BA in Theatre Arts with a concentration in Directing and a minor in Lighting Design.
